I got this book a couple months back and tried the recipe. The directions were simple to follow, laid out in straightforward steps. This was a big help since I'd never made pickles before.The recipe calls for the pickles to set for 8 weeks. Yesterday 8 weeks was up for our batch so we tried the first jar of our first attempt at homemade pickles. THEY WERE SO GOOD!!! I'll never try another pickle recipe! My family polished off a quart in one meal and would have eaten more if I'd let them. (I can't get cucumbers right now so we have to make these last until I can!)
So, yes, this book is aptly named. If you make these pickles, you'll be getting something that tastes even better than Vlasic's Kosher Dill pickles. You won't mind the prospect of making more because that means you'll just have more of the delicious goodness.
